After a 25 year hiatus, back to making music with Dave!
Roger Williams hard at work on his upcoming solo album, very much enjoying working with him on another project.
Peter Polomski took this shot while I was working on Sound Check for the Hot Flashes show at the Bread Box on Sunday May 7, I thought it was kind of cool, sound guys don't normally end up in band pics.
Brian came in to lay down the initial tracks on his all original song project, I'm looking forward to getting this one out there for the world to hear!
I just added this reverb from Voxengo to my plug-ins. Sounds really nice! This is the third product I'm using from Voxengo, so far I'm really impressed!
I put the finishing touches on the CD for Restless Mountain, and it was a great time had by all. My friend, Roger Williams, and I recorded them in a one day session, and then I spent the next week and a half mixing to get it done. Everyone fit well in my home recording studio and we tracked all five of their songs in a six hour block of time. Their bluegrass vibe brought me back to my own days of playing bluegrass with North 40, They are a great bunch of guys and great musicians, check them out at http://www.restlessmountain.com
I came across this in my files, Harry Mott and I recorded this on one of the first 4 track cassette machines, sometime in the late 80's when we were just getting our toes wet in bluegrass music. I still enjoy listening to it. It's not of production quality and not available anywhere else. Hear it only here at stevesleepermusic.com! :P
I just watched this, it's an awesome documentary about making music, great musicians/great songwriting/very uplifting story. I thought I'd post it here in hopes that others will enjoy it!. It's called The Sea in Between. Here's a link to it on HULU hope it works, if not it's on Amazon and Google etc... http://www.hulu.com/watch/639441
